Hitting hard against Samajwadi party of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati for ignoring aam admi, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said these parties have been busy with their personal agenda rather than attending to the issues of aam admi who constitute a vast majority of the people of the state. Under the present political dispensation in the state, the poor were being denied employment and farmers are being forcibly dispossessed of their land, highlighted Rahul Gandhi during his campaigning for upcoming Assembly election. He reminded the people about Bhatta-Parsaul brutalities committed by Mayawati on the farmers leading to death of farmers and destruction of their property for daring to protest against her arbitrary policy of land acquisition and quantum of compensation. Rahul Gandhi said, “When farmers ask for compensation, they get police bullets and are branded as Naxals by the state government.” Urging the people that these parties had lost their trust, Rahul Gandhi requested them to give this time a change to Congress (I) to form government. He promised that Congress (I) would be responsive to aam admi and ensure good governance.
