Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi visit Amethi; hold discussions with Congress workers
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited Amethi, the Parliamentary of Rahul Gandhi. Both the Congress leaders held discussions with Congress leaders and workers in the region in a bid to strengthen the party in the constituency ahead of the coming Lok Sabha polls.

New Delhi: Congress Presidentg and UPa Chairperson Sonia Gandhi addressed a massive Congress rally in Karnataka’s Mandya region where she thanked all the people and the Congress workers for giving a huge mandate to the Congress party in the assembly and the recently concluded Lok Sabha bi-election. “Last time I was here during assembly elections with a request to give Congress a chance. The people of Karnataka put the trust on the Congress party once again a huge mandate to us and I thank all of you for that and also the Congress workers – the men and women- for their hard work” said Sonia Gandhi. “I am confident that the Congress government in Karnataka will respond to the raising aspirations of the people in the state. Our government will deliver on the promises made to the people” said Sonia Gandhi

Sonia Gandhi also expressed her support for the Prime Minister and said that the entire Congress party stands behind him as it was under his leadership the UPA Government at the Centre implemented all the welfare policies. Slamming the opposition, the Congress President quipped, “They may make fun of the prime minister but I want them to know that the whole party is behind him". Taking a dig at the opposition – mainly the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sonia Gandhi reiterated that Congress is not afraid of any party. "We are not afraid of the BJP or any other opposition party. We will continue our sincere efforts for the people of Karnataka and the people of the whole country," she asserted.

Praising the Congress Government in the state, Sonia Gandhi spoke about Karnataka government's Anna bhagya scheme (food security to BPL). She claimed that the state government has fulfilled all the promises made in the poll manifesto. The Congress President also referred to the food security bill and land acquisition bill brought in by the UPA Govt at the Centre. Sonia Gandhi asserted that UPA's land acquisition bill will work as safeguard to farmers of the country.
More than two lakh people had attended the meeting. Former chief minister SM Krishna, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC president Dr. G Parameshwar were also seated on the dais.
केरल में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्रीमती सोनिया गांधी ने ‘शुन्य भूमिहीन परियोजना’ शुरु की और जनता को संबोधित किया
बढ़ती जनसंख्या और शहरीकरण में वृद्धि के चलते भूमि पर काफी दबाव बढ़ा। इसी के कारण शहरों में गरीबी बढ़ी और देश के कई हिस्सों में गंदी बस्तियों की बढ़ोतरी हुई। ऐसी स्थिति में मुझे लगता है की यह सही फैसला है की एक ऐसे योजना का शुरुआत करना जिसका उद्देश्य एक लाख भूमिहीन लोगों को जमीन देना है। मुझे बताया गया है की इस योजना का लाभ सबसे ज्यादा कमजोर वर्ग के लोगों को होगा जैसे अनुसूचित जाति और अनुसूचित जनजाति, और इसके अलावा वैसे परिवारों को भी लाभ मिलेगा जिनमें विधवा, विकलांग और वैसे लोग होंगे जो गंभीर बीमारी से ग्रसित हैं।
हम चाहते हैं एक नए भारत की ओर हम सब एक साथ आगे बढ़े । हम चाहते है की कोई भी पीछे ने छूटे और जाति, धर्म और क्षेत्र के आधार पर किसी को भी दरकिनार न किया जाये। भारत को सामाजिक न्याय के आधार पर एक आधुनिक राष्ट्र बनाने और जरुरी सुविधाएं सभी लोंगो को महैया कराने की जो सोच जवाहरलाल नेहरू जी, इंदिरा गांधी जी और राजीव गांधी जी की थी उसी दिशा में यूपीए सरकार और केरल में यूडीएफ सरकार ने काम किया और आगे भी करते रहेंगे।
प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह के नेतृत्व में यूपीए सरकार द्वारा कई महत्वपूर्ण योजनाएं शुरु की गई और कई जरुरी कानून पारित किये गए जैसे खाद्य सुरक्षा विधेयक जो हाल में ही पारित हुआ, भूमि अधिग्रहण बिल, शिक्षा का अधिकार अधिनियम जिसके तहत 6 से 14 साल के बच्चों को मुफ्त शिक्षा देने का प्रावधान है, सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम, ट्राइबल राइट एक्ट, मनरेगा, इंदिरा आवास योजना, जवाहर लाल नेहरूराष्ट्रीय शहरी नवीकरण मिशन, प्रधानमंत्री ग्राम सड़क योजना, मध्याह्न भोजन योजना। इस तरह की कई योनजाएं शुरु की गई जिनका लाभ बहुत से लोगों को हुआ।
केरल की राज्य सरकार बहुत बेहतरीन काम कर रही है। केरल पहले से ही बहुत अधिक मानव विकास संकेतकों और एक शिक्षित समाज के साथ धन्य है। इस योजना के शुरु होने से लोगों को काफी फायदा होगा। जिस नागरिक के पास अपना जमीन और घर है वो सबसे खुश नागरिक है और खुश नागरिक ही बेहतर ढंग से रोजमर्रा के जीवन की चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए सुसज्जित है। मैं आपको विश्वास दिलाती हूं की केंद्र और यूडीएफ सरकार साथ मिलकर अच्छा काम करेगी और उन सभी वायदे को पूरा करेंगे जो आपसे किया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ओमान चांडी और उनकी सरकार को मैं इस योजना के लिये बधाई देती हूं। मुझे पूरी उम्मीद है की साल 2015 तक केरल भारत का पहला राज्य होगा जहा सब के पास अपना घर होगा और ये एक बड़ी उपलब्धि होगी। धन्यवाद।
