Blaming opposition parties for only making noise about corruption without doing anything to eliminate it, AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said Congress (I) has acted fast and strongly against corruption as well as against those who indulged in corrupt practices. Congress (I) has spared no one, however, high or mighty, Rahul Gandhi said while campaigning for the ongoing Assembly elections. Our actions speak for our efforts, he added. “Corruption snatches the opportunity to move ahead from our people. People involved in corruption should get stringent punishment,” he further said. The action being taken against the corrupt at different levels clearly shows that the Congress (I) Party is very serious over the issue of corruption. Congress (I) brought strong Lokpal Bill but BJP pressed red button in Parliament to defeat the bill. Highlighting that Mayawati did not bother to eliminate corruption in the state, Rahul Gandhi said she was not worthy of their vote. He urged the people to vote for Congress (I) and assured that his party would provide corruption-free, transparent government.
