In spite of the burden of grief he carried in his heart, he did a good job on the political front as a youthful Prime Minister. Rajiv Gandhi's name is synonymous with India's unity and integrity. He saw India as a great armed power, or a nuclear power, rather a force that would steer the globe towards peaceful co-existence and non-violence, and equitability. This was the essence of his vision. Thus, Rajiv was a world-citizen. Therefore, his each act, word and thought was targeted towards creating a worldwide consensus for peaceful co-existence. Rajiv Gandhi was truly an apostle of peace.
