Rahul Gandhi: SP and BSP ignored aam admi and only have personal agenda

Hitting hard against Samajwadi party of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati for ignoring aam admi, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said these parties have been busy with their personal agenda rather than attending to the issues of aam admi who constitute a vast majority of the people of the state. Under the present political dispensation in the state, the poor were being denied employment and farmers are being forcibly dispossessed of their land, highlighted Rahul Gandhi during his campaigning for upcoming Assembly election. He reminded the people about Bhatta-Parsaul brutalities committed by Mayawati on the farmers leading to death of farmers and destruction of their property for daring to protest against her arbitrary policy of land acquisition and quantum of compensation.  Rahul Gandhi said, “When farmers ask for compensation, they get police bullets and are branded as Naxals by the state government.” Urging the people that these parties had lost their trust, Rahul Gandhi requested them to give this time a change to Congress (I) to form government.  He promised that Congress (I) would be responsive to aam admi and ensure good governance.

Launching a scathing attack on Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati for putting the state development in back gear during their regimes, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that Uttar Pradesh will be again No. 1 in development if the people in the state elect a Congress (I) government. UP was once a leading state in the country; but during the last twenty two years BJP, SP and BSP have been working on their casteist agenda rather than thinking about the development of the state, he said. “Tell me if there is one state that hasn’t developed under Congress (I) rule, Rahul Gandhi asked while addressing an election rally as part of his campaign in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh.  Congress (I) rules with vision and plans for the future, he further said adding that the leaders in UP do not talk about future, eradicating poverty, but are just concerned about today that is how to swindle central funds meant for poor and development schemes. They neither talk to farmers nor interact with common men,” said Rahul Gandhi and added “What would they plan for your future?”  Highlighting that Congress (I) has experience, visionary plans and necessary expertise to develop the state Rahul Gandhi urged the people to vote for a change this time and urged the people to support and elect a Congress Government in the state.

Rahul Gandhi says Mayawati uses Dalits only as vote bank

Blaming Mayawati for failing for ensure welfare of dalits, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said  what she is interested in are dalit votes, not dalit welfare. In 2007 she manipulated votes of dalits and poor to grab power in the state but later did not do anything for their welfare. He informed that such instances came to light during routine audit of NRHM funds sent by Congress (I)-led UPA government at the Center for improving health care services for the poor. It was found that large numbers of ambulances had been purchased but were lying unused in depot. On inquiry it was learnt that the state government had no funds to run and maintain those vehicles. This has been her attitude towards the welfare of dalits, said Rahul Gandhi adding that while she spent Rs 7 crores for building a single park she did not spare few lakhs of rupees for buying petrol and maintenance of ambulances for the welfare of poor dalits. Cautioning the people that Mayawati was not interested in their welfare, Rahul Gandhi appealed the people to give a chance for Congress this time to form a pro-development government.  He promised that a government of the poor by Congress (I) would work for the welfare of the dalits and poor.
