Corruption cannot be checked by pointing finger at others: Congress (I)

Congress (I) has lashed out at Mayawati government for ever increasing and all time high corruption in the state of Uttar Pradesh. People have been baffled why corruption is not coming down while Mayawati has been claiming that her government is taking serious action against corruption cases. Congress (I) has pointed out that Mayawati has only been talking about corruption but has not done anything to actually control it much less root it out. If court pronounces judgment against her minister or UP Lokayukta indicts a BSP legislator, then Mayawati has no option but to remove or drop that tainted person. But that is not enough by any standard. Nothing has been done further to ensure that such corrupt cases do not happen again. Thus corruption cannot be checked simply by pointing finger at others. What is required is sincere efforts to control corruption cases which Mayawati has never undertaken, said Congress (I).
