Congress (I) has been highlight the scams of Mayawati government as a result of which Uttar Pradesh has suffered losses in thousands of crores in each case. Mayawati has no vision, no agenda for development of the state. Instead of creating assets for the state she has been selling the existing assets to private parties at much below nominal price. As a result while Mayawati has been making personal gain, the state has suffered huge losses. For instance, Nekpur Surgar Mill was sold for Rs 14.11 crore whereas as per circle rate its cost was approximately Rs 145 crore. On the prevailing market rates cost of the land only could have fetched many times more. What is most surprising is that while the total area of the mill is approximately 13.134 hectares stamp duty paid on it was only Rs 98.77 lakhs. Mayawati’s scams have ruined the state economically, has said Congress (I).
