Lashing out against Chief Minister for bad governance in the state, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said without Uttar Pradesh being developed, the country cannot go forward. UP is the most populated state in the country with extensive territory; therefore development of UP is necessary, said Rahul Gandhi. The caste based parties like Mayawati’s BSP and Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP have been ruling in the state for over two decades without caring for development. This will continue unless there is a change in the government. While campaigning for upcoming Assembly elections Rahul Gandhi asked the people, “Tell me which state Congress (I) ruled state has not developed,” adding “I am ready to fight on behalf of the people of Uttar Pradesh whenever it is necessary. “I am your solider. I will fight for you whenever it is necessary because without UP being developed, the country can not go forward”, adding that he will take the state forward.”
