Rahul Gandhi calls upon leaders to shun casteism

Assailing the tendency of certain political parties to wear the tag of caste, creed or religion, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has called upon their leaders to shun communal boundaries.  Hailing Congress (I) for giving highest importance to a person rather than to his caste, creed or religion, he said until the leaders rise above such boundaries, the state would not progress. “We do not talk about religion, we do not talk about caste, we only talk about development wherever our government is in power. Every man is equal for us whichever caste, religion or region he belongs to. We want the power of India, which is captive in Uttar Pradesh, should be given a chance to come forward," he said while speaking at a public meeting for the upcoming Assembly elections in UP. Urging the people to vote with this spirit he assured that Congress (I) will work for all people without any distinction of caste or religion.
