Rahul Gandhi: Non-Congress rule in the two decades ruined U.P

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while campaigning in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh for Congress said that neither Mayawati nor Mulayam Singh Yadav went to the people to realize their troubles.
"I was there traversing those potholed roads and could spot neither Mulayam Singh nor Mayawati," Rahul said and added "Bundelkhand did not want to be an Israel all it wanted water and development."
"Mulayam had offered Congress five seats and the Congress turned down the offer. Congress decided to strike a deal with the people and not with SP," Rahul Gandhi pointed out describing a bigger and better tally Congress garnered thereafter.
“Congress party was the first to offer reservation to minority community and soon Mulayam Singh jacked up the percentage even though he never talked about Muslim reservation when in power” said Rahul Gandhi. Highlighting the absence of Mulayam and Maya from Tappal and Bhatta Parsol during the farmers' agitations, Rahul said that these parties had ruined million of lives in UP and therefore it was time to make a choice not on the basis of caste and community but for uplift of the common man.
"I would not rest till I drive away the thieves from UP Rahul promised," he said, urging the people to vote for a government that will work for aam aadmi.
