Lashing out against caste based politics of BSP, SP and BJP, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that people are now tired of the group identity politics. Casteist politics is inherently incapable of taking all the people together because it looks to serve only the interest of particular group of persons, he said.
As such interests of only certain groups have been the concern of BJP, SP and BSP in the last 22 years. Congress (I) believes in inclusive development which takes into account all the people of the state, said Rahul Gandhi adding that a comprehensive development cannot take place unless it is targeted at the people rather than on groups.
These governments have had no vision, no agenda for the people of the state, said Rahul Gandhi. As such development of the state has languished, he said. None of the governments of these parties solved the issues of the people. BJP government only kept talking about religion while Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP indulged in corruption. But BSP government of Mayawati turned out to be the worst. Rahul Gandhi assured the audience that Congress (I) being a secular party will work for people without discrimination of caste or religion.
