Congress lists out its policies for the soldiers/pensioners

While slamming non-Congress parties like BSP, SP and BJP in UP for doing nothing for the soldiers and the ex-servicemen, Congress (I) has said  that the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre had increased the salaries of serving soldiers and pensions of Ex-Servicemen as per the recommendations of Sixth Pay Commission.

Large number of people from UP serve in Armed forces, said the Congress. Congress (I) President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has stressed that no other Government had done so much for the welfare of serving soldiers and Ex-Servicemen as Congress (I) has done. The standard of living of both serving soldiers and Ex-Servicemen has risen very substantially after the Congress-led UPA government came to power, claimed Congress (I).  As a result of steep pay hike of soldiers, their pension has also taken a big jump, added Congress. The party will continue its endeavor to do lot more for the servicemen and Ex-Servicemen of our country, said Congress (I).
