Rahul Gandhi: UP is under the clutches of Mafia and criminals

Drawing attention of the people to the present bad state of affairs in Uttar Pradesh, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said that mafia and criminals are now ruling the state. Uttar Pradesh was giving lead to the country when great leaders like Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India represented the state in the Parliament, he reminded while campaigning for Congress in Uttar Pradesh. Accusing the non-Congress parties like Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party  (BSP) and Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party (SP) for playing caste-based politics which helps only the particular group, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress (I) believes in the politics of inclusive growth which takes care of all the people leaving none out. These non-Congress parties have misruled the state, indulged in corruption, looted public money and grabbed poor farmer’s lands leaving the development of the state and future of the youth to the dogs, Rahul Gandhi added. Cautioning the people that these parties have been playing tricks with them for the last twenty two years, Rahul Gandhi reminded it is time to bring in a change for the better.  The Congress MP from Amethi exhorted them to give this time a chance to Congress (I) and promised that it would ensure responsive government and put the state back on fast track development.
