Sonia Gandhi promises a developed Uttarakhand under Congress


Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi said in Uttarakhand that the BJP had been befooling the people in the name of development. Sonia Gandhi expressed her concern over the loot of the natural treasures of Uttarakhand and said that the only way to prevent such misdeeds is to install a Congress Government in the state.
Sonia Gandhi said that Congress realizes the pain and problems of the people in the hill state. “We do understand your problems and we have assured to find solutions for those in our election manifesto”. Listing out the promises Sonia Gandhi said “We (Congress) intend to cancel the license policy to help the sugar cane farmers, we want to constitute an Urdu Farsi Board for helping the minorities, to provide computer education for the students in Madrasas at Government’s cost and to provide them free training at IITs and Government polytechnics. Congress also wishes to grant state level recognition to the mela held in Haridwar, Hemkunt”, said Sonia Gandhi.
“We (Congress) are committed to work for all sections of the society. I therefore request you to support the Congress”, urged Sonia Gandhi.
