Amethi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a three-day visit to his parliament constituency Amethi, laid the foundation stone for a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Camp and recruitment centre at Trisundi in Bhadar on Thursday. Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and Minister of State for Home R P N Singh were also present on the occasion.
While lauding the tremendous services being done by the CRPF, Rahul Gandhi said "Now there is peace in Punjab and no violence there as of now. CRPF has been playing an important role in the positive developments in Punjab -- the state which gives the entire food for our nation. CRPF Jawans gave their blood and sweat to bring democracy back in the state and to help the youth to build a bright future".
