Congress accuses Maya for Taj Corridor scam

Blaming UP Chief Minister for rampant corruption in her government, Congress (I) has accused Mayawati for her involvement in Taj Corridor scam. This project was taken up by her government for developing facilities around Taj Mahal in Agra at the cost of Rs 175 crores, said Congress (I). Mayawati allegedly committed serious irregularities in implementation. CBI is investigating into the Taj Corridor scam. During probe it came out that total income of Mayawati during the period was only Rs 1.1 crore while balance in her bank account was 2.5 crore and total value of her property was around Rs 15 crore. To escape arrest she managed to secure stay order from the court. By not facing the probe to get herself cleared of the stigma of corruption, it is clear that Mayawati as Chief Minister is hiding the real story of Taj Corridor scam, said Congress (I).
